I became a Certified Equine Massage Therapist in 1999. Since that time I have had the privilege of massaging hundreds of professional equine athletes, and each one has a story to tell.
I became a massage therapist out of NEED. My 12 year old stallion that I also roped on, should have been in his prime, yet he couldn't run fast enough to catch a steer that was loping out of the chute. My veterinarian couldn't find anything medically wrong with him and I just couldn't give up on him.
When I got home from school, he got his first massage and the results were amazing. One massage took six years off of him and there wasn't a steer we couldn't catch.
